We are a family run flooring shop based in Cuckfield, near Haywards Heath in West Sussex as well as in Uckfield in East Sussex. Balcombe Flooring is a well established business covering Sussex, Kent, Surrey and London. Originally located in Balcombe, the shop moved to Cuckfield in 2015. We opened a second showroom in Uckfield in 2024.

We supply and install all types of flooring in both domestic and commercial settings. We specialise in carpets, sisals, rugs, lvt and wood flooring.

Our experienced team provide a professional, reliable and friendly service, where excellent customer service is our main priority.

What We Do

Carpets

Carpet is a practical and stylish flooring option. Available in countless colours, blends and textures, carpet is a natural choice for reinvigorating a room.

LVT & Vinyl

Vinyl has changed considerably from the old style linoleum. It is now a smart, fashionable, quality flooring material, a genuine alternative to ceramic tiles and real wood in all areas of the home.

Laminates

Laminate flooring offers the look of hardwood or stone flooring, but without the expense and required maintenance. Laminate flooring usually is made from high-density fiber or wood particles, with a laminate overlay that is designed to look like wood or stone.

Engineered Timbers

Engineered wooden flooring consists of layered tiers of real wood pressed together. The real wood surface veneer layer is available in many different designs and finishes, and is also available in many different thicknesses ranging from 0.5mm up to 6mm.

Solid Wood

Solid wood floors are manufactured from a single piece of timber, and offer the consumer the most authentic and natural wood flooring option possible. Solid wood floors are normally 18-20mm thick; therefore they can take years of wear, and the stresses of everyday life.

Rugs

We are continuingly growing our rug ranges in store, however we are a small shop so we are limited to what we can show. We do have a great collection of mini rugs for sampling use and can get hold of most rugs you see elsewhere at very competitive prices.

Underlay

Some people will buy expensive carpets but then skimp on the underlay. After all, you can’t see it so what does it matter? Well, it matters a lot! A good quality underlay can increase the life of your carpet.
